About Us

The Mcfadden family are proud farmers and have been farming their own 42 acres of land since the family business was established.

This has always enabled us to rear our own pigs and sheep in order to supply our shop and bakery with guaranteed quality local Cornish produce.

We provide complete traceability of all livestock from birth to the butcher’s block. We lamb our sheep between October and March and this enables us to have a steady supply of the very best quality lamb throughout the year.

We also keep a constant supply of healthy pigs which are traditionally fattened and used for our own shop and Mcfadden’s products.

Master butcher and owner Kevin Mcfadden will only purchase the finest quality beef from Truro livestock market every Wednesday. Kevin takes great care in selecting local produce and always ensures that meat is sourced from a high standard of breeding, therefore guaranteeing we have complete traceability for our beef.

Every member of the Mcfaddens Family and all their staff are HACCP trained to LEVEL 2. We are proud that we have achieved a 5 star food and hygiene rating with our local authority. As a high quality local butchers we are able to supply catering businesses with the very best meat available, please call us with any enquiry.

Our Deli section offers our own cooked meats, salads, olives and a wonderfully fine selection of local Cornish cheeses along with other varieties to suit all pallets and dishes.
